ABOUT ATLANTA UMPIRES
Atlanta Umpires was founded in 1988. We serve public recreation programs in youth baseball and softball throughout the metro Atlanta area, several private high schools, adult baseball leagues, and the fast growing travel team market. Our umpires are trained annually in basic and advanced umpire skills as well as the rules and procedures for virtually all the various organizations sponsoring youth baseball and softball. Many of our veteran umpires enjoy working tournaments and special events throughout the United States.
Our members have been honored by being selected to work state, national and world series tournaments for Little League, Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth, PONY Baseball, USSSA, Dizzy Dean, Triple Crown, GISA, GCAA, and the Mens Senior Baseball League. We have supplied crews for the World Masters Games in Canada, Australia, and the US, for the World Scholar Athlete Games, the Caribbean Winter Baseball Classic, and for the French National Juniors Championship. Our European tournaments have included Robur ’58 in the Netherlands, Prague Baseball Week, European B Pool Championships in Croatia, the World Port Tournament in Rotterdam, and Haarlem Baseball Week.
Several of our members have extensive experience in college baseball, and we have members in both the Minor and Major Leagues of professional baseball. We have provided umpires for The Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and ESPN Wide World of Sports during their Spring Training Schedules. Our membership is open, and we invite you to contact us for further information or to arrange for our services.
